Short Vowel Contrasts provides a range of pictures and activities which focus on the correction of the identified phoneme. Teachers may find them useful to support teaching of individual phonemes.
This pack includes an extensive bank of illustrations focusing on vowels.
Short vowel contrasts pack provides images to print/copy, organised by minimal pair groupings for use in therapy and in the classroom.
The material includes mainly one-syllable words of simple construction, which target: a (hat); i (pin); e (pen); o (dog); uh (bus); and u (pull). Some longer words are included where appropriate. The construction of all of the words is generally CVC, CCVC or CVCC (C = consonant; V = vowel). Included in the pack are pictures of the mouth positions which should be adopted for the production of each vowel, accompanied by a description of how to achieve correct production.
