All languages contain a grammar system that enables the speakers of that language to structure and organise what they want and need to say. This pack contains a selection of fun activities that focus on the development of regular plurals. They are suitable for use with children aged from three to six years of age and are ideal for both one-to-one or small-group settings.

Devised and illustrated by Helen Rippon, Highly Specialist SLT, the activities are simple, but meaningful, for young children and offer opportunities for modelling and correction in an informal play setting.

Activities include:

  • Naming single items and plurals using the illustrations (with extension activities if required)
  • Sticker activities. Which pictures need the ‘more than one’ ending?
  • Link the pairs. Can you draw a line between the things that go together?
  • Spot the difference. Can you spot the difference between the monster pictures?
  • Action game – when you land in space, carry out the actions.
  • Quiz – use your ‘more than one’ ending.
  • You may also be interested in some of our other grammar packs that offer direct and focused intervention for a wide range of other grammatical markers.
