The aim of Speech Bubbles is to improve question formation; help children understand idioms; discuss emotions; develop verbal reasoning skills; identify homophones.
It is a unique, multi-task pack designed for children of 6 years and upwards, with language delay, specific language impairment and semantic/pragmatic disorder.
The pack contains 6 large busy colour pictures of everyday activities, each containing four different scenarios targeting the following areas: question formation, idioms, homophones, feelings, verbal reasoning. Instructions are provided for activities that address each area.
Ideal for small group work, and to facilitate repetition, modelling and reinforcement.
Speech Bubbles is the brainchild of Judith Thomas, who came up with the original idea, and this has been developed for Black Sheep Press by Helen Rippon.
Age Range: 6yrs. – 11yrs. KS1/KS2. Particularly useful for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
