Description: A range of activities which challenge the child to give accurate instructions to the other members of the group.

A simple barrier enables the adult or group members to clearly check whether enough information has been provided and/or whether they have understood the vocabulary and concepts. Ideal for group sessions but can be adapted for one-to-one settings for drill and practice.

Aims: To develop understanding and use of concepts; to develop attention and listening skills; to develop auditory memory.

Age Range: 5yrs. – 7yrs.+, Foundation Stage – KS1+

Curriculum Targets: P scales; Speaking, Listening, Learning; KS1 English and Mathematics.

Additional Targets: Vocabulary development; developing sentence structure; improving intelligibility in a practical situation.
