Our story

Black Sheep Press started in 1992 with the aim of providing cost-effective resources to help children with speech and language difficulties. Since then we have expanded our range to over 170 sets of resource material. In November 2008, Black Sheep Press became a Limited Company.

The main day to day work at BSP is carried out by Gillian Baldwin, Rachael Hughes and Alan Henson.
Helen Rippon illustrates and designs most of our work sheets. She qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist and has worked in community clinics and schools. For the last five years she has been lead therapist for the Mainstream Schools Special Needs Service in Grimsby.

Professionals, who want to share the materials they have created and found effective, design our resources.
