About Us
Black Sheep Press started in 1992 with the aim of providing cost effective resources to help children with speech and language difficulties. Since then we have expanded our range to over 120 sets of resource material.
In November 2008, Blacksheep Press became a Limited Company.

Day to day work at BSP is carried out by Gillian, Rachael and Alan. Helen Rippon illustrates and designs most of our work sheets. She qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist and has worked mainly in community clinics but for the last five years has been lead therapist for the Mainstream Schools Special Needs Service in Grimsby.

All our materials are designed by working therapists. Our collaborators include:

Becky Shanks ( formerly at Stockport PCT) and Judith Carey of Stockport PCT.
Felicity Durham, who works with children with specific language difficulties in Dumfries and Galloway.
Leanne Allan and Suzie Leitão who each have over 20 years experience of speech therapy with children in Australia.
Caroline Bowen PhD Speech-Language Pathologist helps us in an advisory capacity. She is a certified member of Speech Pathology Australia, and an International Affiliate Member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Her web site is http://speech-language-therapy.com
